ANIME TASSLEHOFF by Jennifer Lindgren

Dragonlance Anime, Anyone? As the preceding graphic would suggest, I feel the American version of a DL movie is a bad idea, for many, many reasons. Most of them surround the concepts of art and handling of the story (yeah, the two most important things.) Here, then, are some reasons:
1)The art. I admit, I've been spoiled by watching as much anime as I do, but my point still stands. If one wants a halfway decent representation of fantasy characters, one does not go to the company that made Eke! The Cat.
2) Character handling. This goes partially with the general point of "the art." But, more specifically, the characters themselves, probably would not be scripted the way they should be, simply because of the restrictions most American companies put on the stories.
3) The plot. Think about it. Have you ever seen a well-rendered fight scene in American animation? I haven't.
4) The Japanese like this stuff anyway.

GRENDAL AND POUCHER by Janet Jia-Ee Chui

Grendal SilverHammer is a 160 year old Hill dwarf, who is grandfatherly, yet ready for battle and lopping the heads off goblins. His magical dwarven axe never leaves his side. He now has 1 noppa skull. ;)
Poucher is--hmm, I had my notes here somewhere--a kender, and a very nice and cheerful one.
More of this wonderful art can be found on Marriat's Homepage. Just take a vist through Mount Nevermind to the #Krynn Page.

THE CELLAR OF THE LIBRARY OF PALANTHAS
Originally cover art for "NIGHTMARE" by Darrel K. Sweet

Touch up by Sean Macdonald Layers of dust muted the harsh yellow light of the ancient oil lamp. The smell of smoke, oil, and ink roamed about the small chamber. Across the far wall rows of hastily constructed shelves were filled to capacity with books, scrolls, and manuscripts of every manner, and when space ran out the books were piled on the floor and into dark corners of the cellar. The sound of old parchment being turned was absorbed by the tomes and volumes of books lining the wall and the floor. Beneath the long black stand upon which the oil lamp burned, a small figure sat hunched over a large book. His back was slightly bent with age and his gnarled hands ever so carefully lifted page after page of the tome until he was able to find the knowledge held within.

KRONIN THISTLEKNOT

This is an interpretation of Kronin Thistleknot. Which is pretty amazing considering it only took three kender painters and ten years to finish. Most kender artwork is very small in nature do to the fact that most of them tend to loose interest in what they are doing long before the work is complete.

THE COMPANIONS by Janne Mi

"I don't know," Tasslehoff said, dubiously. I've seen clerics from every part of Krynn and I've never seen any like these." He glanced down the road apprehensively, then gazed up at Tanis, unusual seriousness in his brown eyes. "Do you remember what Tika said about the stange men in Solace hanging around with Hederick? How they were hooded and dressed in heavy robes? Well that describes these clerics exactly! And Tanis, they gave me an eerie feeling." "Strange Clerics,"Raistlin spoke with elaborate pactience, as one speaks to a child. "The staff has healing, clerical powers - such powers as have not been seen on Krynn since the Cataclysm! Caramon and I saw some of these cloaked and hooded men in Solace. Don't you find it odd, my friend, that these clerics and this staff turned up at the same time in the same place, when niether has been seen before?"
