Combat
The viperlisk fights by attempting to get victims to gaze into its eyes. Those who directly meet the creature's gaze find their soul fleeing the body, never to return. Even those who glance at the creature's reflection are likely to be turned to stone. Failing petrifying its victims, the viperlisk strikes with its deadly poison bite. The poison works quickly, and can kill most victims with a single strike.

Magical beasts have darkvision with a range of 60 feet and low-light vision.

Petrifying Gaze (Su) Victims who meet the gaze of the viperlisk must make a Fort save (DC 15) or be turned to stone. Those who fail the saving throw by 5 or more are slain, and cannot be brought back to life short of a True Ressurection.
