Based on the Palladium fantasy RPG's creatures of the same name. Wolfen are civilized but many humans see them as savages because as they expanded north they encountered territorial wolfen who responded as if the humans were invaders. The wolfen race is divided into twelve tribes. Traditionally there were thirteen, but one was wiped out during an atrocity in the past.

Wolfen appear as tall (7-9' tall) furry humanoids with the heads, claws and tails of wolves. They are typically found among the northern reaches of the campaign world living in deep wilderness areas. They are pack hunting meat-eaters who have developed from barbaric warriors into civilized beings after uniting their tribes. They still follow their warrior ways, however, and have created a sophisticated military.

Combat
Wolfen prefer to fight with melee or ranged weapons, but will use their natural bite attack if otherwise defenseless. They are sophisticated combatants and may use all the tactics of trained human warriors.

The wolfen have a wolf's sense of smell and can use it to aid in tracking attempts. Many wolfen are warriors and fighters, but all character classes are possible.

Society
The Twelve Tribes of the wolfen are a united force in the northern wilderness and have great political power. They do interact with other races, including humans, although there are still some suspicious feelings between them which can cause trouble or violence.

This creature has not yet been play tested.
This is not a kender type creature.
