A colossal dragon of stone stands before you, where he was not before. His scales look like granite, and his body moves like liquid rock. Extending well over four hundred feet, this dragon is hard to miss, unless the observer is in a very rocky region. The dragon is known as the Earth Dragon by the dwarves. This dragon also has a tendency to be very agitated if it sees dwarves, why is unknown, but many believe that it is do to the fact that dwarves are earth burrowers, this dragons suppsed home.

The Granite Dragon is a large Species of dragon that appeared after the first Cataclysm, but their sightings are rare. and many do not survive any others. Almost all of the Granite dragons extend over four hundred feet long, but they do not attempt to defeat the Dragon Overlords for their ownership of Krynn due to the fact that these dragons do not value the land, they know it is theirs, and therefore, do not believe that anyone should own it, but them. They will not however fight the dragon highlords for the express fact that they do not have the magical abilities to fight them. These dragons, when seen from a distance, looks like a large and cragity rock wall. If approached when asleep, their bodies are cold to the touch, and can easily be mistaken for large boulders. If awoken, they will attack anyone in the immediate area, and anyone that they see for up to a mile away until their rage dies away.

Combat
This dragon is frightful in combat. Though not the smartest around, they are very strong, and can match strength with many of the Dragon Overlords, and even surpass some of them. If there Frightful prescence and Fear abilities do not scare off there oppoents, they will close in for a quick combat. They shall mainly attack with their claws and bites, and with attacks of oppurtunity, will use their tail or breath weapon. This dragon also can cast a limited number of spells a day. (spells will be posted later) If it finds trouble killing a oppoent, which is rare, it will use only its breath weapon and flyby claw attacks. IF this still prevents a problem, which it shouldnt for this dragon, it shall flee until it has thought of a suitable way to destroy the oppoent.

Dragons are immune to sleep and paralysis effects. Dragons have darkvision with a range of 60 feet and low-light vision. The Granite Dragon is Immune to any sleep, charm or illusion type spells. The caster will not know this until too late. This dragon is also considered invisible if it is in a rocky region. Treat as a Spot check with a DC of 35 for purposes for attempting to find the dragon, and a DC of 50 when not looking for the dragon, and having only casual obsevation of the area. Any dragon attempting to observe the Granite Dragon, will only have to make a DC check of 20 with attempted observation, and a DC cheek of 25 for unattempted, casual looking.

Society
This dragons society description is very limited thanks to the little information known about them. The few that have encountered these beings have not lived long enough to study them. What is known is that they prefer to be solitary unless they are courting or mating with a oppisite sexed member of their race. If at anytime either activity is interupted, they will attack full on to their intended oppoent, and will use every thing to their advantage to destroy them. If the oppoents flee, these dragons have been known to track them for decades until they can catch the intended target.

This creature has not yet been play tested.
This is not a kender type creature.
