+2 Hoopak of Wandering
donated by Corynna Skylark

Description:
The hoopak of wandering looks like any other hoopak except that its spearpoint is coated in mercury. The mercury, however, will not poison the wielder. In fact, the hoopak gives the wielder immunity to mercury poisoning. Otherwise, it has the usual trinkets and feathers cascading down the side of it.

History: Well, you'll never believe it...My friends and I had just come across a young adult dragon's lair. Naturally, I wanted to go inside, right? Well, my friends tried to stop me, but they aren't very good at paying attention to me, so when they were distracted (it's amazing what a forest fire will do to distract people!), I sneaked back to the cave. I went inside, and there was this HUGE pile of jewels and gold and weapons and armor and gems and...where was I? Oh yes. So I went inside, and there it was. The dragon was in the lair, of course, but he turned out to be quite a nice fellow, if a bit nervous that I wanted his treasure. I told him, oh no! I just came exploring to see what kind of dragon lived here. He told me he was a mercury dragon and not to touch him or I'd end up really sick. Of course, I couldn't resist the urge to come up to him, though he kept sidling away, but finally, I touched his claw and giggled. Fortunately, 'cause I was starting to feel kinda woozy and all, he gave me this hoopak as a parting gift (which was somewhat hastily given), and the wooziness went away. Then he, almost rudely, I might add, pushed me out of the cave.

How it Works: It gives the person wielding it a plus two to attack and damage. May only be used by someone proficient in the hoopak or any kender (even if their proficiency is in the whippik or some other weapon). The mercury on the spearpoint will not poison the wielder. In fact, the hoopak gives the wielder immunity to mercury poisoning. Lastly, the Hoopak of Wandering causes the person holding it to go on wanderlust when they reach the traditional coming-of-age-for-wanderlust (adjusts to fit the race's age equivalent of a kender if the person is not a kender). They continue on wanderlust until the traditional kender-age for stopping and then settle down. Most non-kender consider this item cursed, but simply giving up possession of the item rids a non-kender of wanderlust. Of course, it has no effect whatever on a kender.

+5 Hammer of whack-a-mole-ing
donated by Darian Arrowood

Description:
The hammer is a fairly simple weapon. It seems to be a large wooden mallet with one end really worn out.

History: An Oger Shaman, Grumlishic the Sadistic, made this weapon in his spare time. As his name implies he enjoyed causeing pain, mostly on little defenseless woodland burrowing creatures. He'd use it whenever bored, and with the one end being VERY worn, he's obviously been very bored, very often. It is said to have left the hands of Grumlishic and fallen into those of a derranged farmer whom used it to deal with a mole infestation.

How it Works: The +5 Hammer of whack-a-mole-ing is the bane of all happy little woodland creatures. It's a +5 animal bane, vile (book of vile darkness) warhammer of mighty cleaving, wounding, blood feeding (book of vile darkness), cursespewing (book of vile darkness), fleshgrinding (book of vile darkness), marrowcrushing (book of vile darkness), souldrinking (book of vile darkenss), strength sapping (book of vile darkness) and speed. The only catch is that all the enchantments only come into play when fighting burrowing mammals.

He was startled from behind by a city guard with something to make up for. (If you know what i mean.) Ever since, gullydwarves have specifically looked for these items to arm themselves with.

Congor's Real Walking Stick Of Reality
donated by ChronoDragon

Description:
This un-normally real looking realistic real life reality walking stick, can look as real as the next, but when thought to be unreal, it looks the most real of all real walking sticks in a 500000000000000km radius, because after all, in reality, this is Congor's Real Walking Stick of Reality, and it is VERY REAL!!!

History: This is a real walking stick, it was made by a real person from real reality, a totally normal man from everyday, real life named Congor Farsole. Congor Farsole, was a real man, very similar to his real walking stick, which is very real if i have not applied that to your attention myself already. This came from Congor Farsole's workshop on the outskirts of his hole, next to a tree. T'was not a sandy hole, the hobbit hole, nor was it dark, and slimy as though it were evil. This hobbit hole, is not a hobbit hole because no hobbit had lived in it for years.

How it Works: This real, REALLY, REALLY, REALLY, VERY, REAL walking stick does things. It seems to have a tendency to help people walk in reality, but not in non- reality because it is only a real walking stick. This walking stick's reality, is very real to the naked eye. Anyways, this normal, real walking stick of reality, helps it's owner walk. Nothing more is expected of this walking stick, therefore it does nothing other than help the handicaped walk in real life reality situations.

Convinient Sword
donated by Tobigera

Description:
It's just a small dagger. Nothing particularly special about it.

History: Fastfingers borrowed it from strange drunk knight we found lying around in the city of Palanthas.

How it Works: It stays as a dagger until you come into a combat situation. When this happens, it turns into a small long sword. The sword, however, only weighs as much as a dagger, making it much easier to weild. This weapon makes for great surprises.

Darrge the dagger
donated by Bendrig Mapmaker

Description:
Looks like a steel dagger, the blade engraved with scales, the heft is made of copper and resembles a dragons head.

History: Darrge was an ordinary dagger, although one of high quality, until it was enchanted by Vanya, as a gift for me, to remember a fun sparring fight. She intended it to act as a cheap entertainer, but I attached my ring of flying on Darrge, so now he flies.

How it Works: Darrge has a personality of his own and a grumpy one, always nagging and complaining. But he can be a good friend if treated right and perform actions for a friend, like cutting a rope or attacking a fiend. He attacks as a 3 HD monster and does normal dagger damage (No bonuses)

Deity Sword
donated by Bairn Shava

Description:
Looks: The Deity Sword is approximately 3 feet, 1 and a half inches long, including the hilt, which is 5 inches long. It is both a single and double- handed sword. It changes its form and magic powers whenever the sword's owner changes to a different deity. For example, the sword will become the Darkness Blade when it is held by a follower of Tahkisis and turns into the Holy Sword whenever the sword's owner is a follower of Paladine.

History: The Deity Sword was made by a combination of special and rare items and metals. Then it was forged in a Chromatic dragon's flame and cooled in the wind of a Metallic's bathing water. This is what makes the sword special. There is not a clue to where the Deity Blade came from. It was found by it's new owner, Bairn Shava, on the ground by a warrior's rotting corpse.

How it Works: The Deity Sword has a +3 damage power against the opposite deity's followers. For example, if the Deity Sword is held by a Paladine follower, then it has a +3 damage factor against Tahkisis' followers, and vice versa. It can also grow in size and power if the holder of this sword can transform. This sword will grow in length or shirnk in length to fit the owner's size by making itself half as long as it is tall and it will have a power fator of either +4 or 5 or will have one of + 2 or 1. It has the ability to merge with the owner's personal energy until it is dead, so until it's owner dies, the sword belongs to him/her and can only be used by him/her until it's owner dies and a new owner takes it.

Fallen Angel's Dagger
donated by Twyla Flipknot

Description:
What does it look like?
Fallen Angel's dagger is a long dagger, almost a sword. The handle is carved from Nutari's surface and the blade is dimaond with blood stains that are impossible to remove. Freezing cold to the touch, Fallen Angel's dagger is surronded by a black aura.

History: Who made it? How did you find it?
Well, I was walking through The Darken Woods minding my own buisness when suddenly I tripped . i looked doen to see what I had tripped over and saw this dagger. I picked it up and immediately dropped it. It had burned me, it was so cold! I took out a hankerchif (I think it once belonged to Kipper Snifferdoo. It was just lying on the table and there was this strong wind blowing. I'm sure he didn't mind that I took it, in fact he's probably glad I did. Why it could have been blown away!) Anyways, I've never been able to sell it and no one could tell me where it came from!

How it Works: What does it do? How does it work?
Fallen Angel's dagger can only be wielded by the most evil of heart. If it's wielder falls in battle anyone who tries to pick it up will be attacked by the dagger itself. It is faithful to it's wielder to death and beyond. It has been said that with the dagger one can actually call on the Gods of Evil for aid in battle. It has some magical properties and can never be broken. It will be here for forever and longer.

Hoopack of Dragonkind
donated by Tasslehoff Pinchpocket

Description:
It looks like a normal hoopak other than it seems to be carved of platinum and on either side of it thier is ten stones carved to resemble dragon heads. On one side thier is a onyx dragon head, a saphire dragon head, a emerald dragon head, a ruby dragon head, and a pearl dragon head. On the other side there is a brass dragon head, a bronze dragon head, a copper dragon head, a gold dragon head, and a silver dragon head.

History: It is said among kender that it was enchanted by the top mages before the cataclysm. It was then "borrowed" by a kender named Kassendorf Swiftfingers, he was killed during the cataclysm and the weapon was supposedly destroyed with him. However it was found many years later by a curious Kender exploring a mighty red dragons cave. Unfortunetly the red dragon returened a little too soon and was enraged that the Kender had "borrowed" from his cave. He found the Kender walking by a raging river and charred the poor Kender. The weapon fell into the river and drifted into the Blood Sea and was lost again. During the fifth age a group of gnomes along with various other members (including Kender) traversed the Blood Sea trying to find how islands float. They came upon a series of caves where a great black dragon lived and a kender named Razmous Pinchpocket found this great weapon but now it seemed to have even more magic powers. The Black came and found that his cave had been "borrowed" from. He then hunted the crew down unfortunatly all the crew was killed except a few gnomes who managed to escape and make it to the surface with the hoopack. When they found the item they decided they would to give it to Razmous Pinchpocket's kin. It has is currently in his family's possesion.

How it Works: This enchanted Hoopack is an item of renown giving it a +4 bonus the enchanted dragon head's give an immunity to all dragon breath and dragon awe abilities it also does double damage against dragons.

Hoopack of hitting
donated by Magus Stickeyfingers

Description:
An average hoopack with blue beads tied to it.

History: I found it stuck in a wall. It looked like it hade been there a while so I figured whoever owned it didn't want it anymore, and took it.

How it Works: Every time you swing it it hits something that you weren't aiming for. When it gets board of you it gets stuck in something. (currently stuck in a hedge maze where I left it)

Hoopak Mark II
donated by Thistledown Kendergnome

Description:
The Hoopak Mark II appears similar to a standard Hoopak, except that it is made of steel and includes two buttons along its shaft, and sports a mesh instead of a sling.

History: The Hoopak Mark II was made by Thistledown Kendergnome while he was being raised in Mt. Nevermind. Not liking the large size and complexity of use of the gnomish weapons, he instead based his weapon on the notes made on Tassleholf Burrfoot's Hoopak from the War of the Lance, with some modifications. So far, only the one has been created, as Thistledown does not have the patience nor the resources to construct another, being on wonderlust.

How it Works: While not magical at all, it does have a number of special abilities. One of these is that the bottom foot of the shaft is a sword blade instead of a point, the last three inches of which can be launched by means of a trigger and a compressed spring to a range of 100 feet, but only acurate to 30 feet. The entire last 2 feet of the Hoopak are removeable from the top by means of another button. This can be wielded as a short sword while the other half splits into a tripod, upon which the launching mechanism sits. Now instead of using the shear movement of the Hoopak to launch a projectile, the Hoopak Mark II instead uses a series of springs and pullys to launch an object in a way similar to a small catapult.

Hoopak of Big Boom
donated by Hillrunner downhill

Description:

History: It was made by a kender wood carver, given to Hillrunner on his 20th birthday. During his travels he had many experiences with his newly learned sorceror powers and once accidently harnessed to the power of lighting into the hoopak and created its powers.

How it Works: When the Hoopak is held high above the head then quickly brought down to strike the ground with the spear end a bolt of lighting strikes the ground About 20 feet directly in front of the kender, followed closely by a thunder clap.

Hoopak of Doing Stuff
donated by Kinlin Slingthrower

Description:
Well, it looks pretty much just like a normal hoopak. Y'know? It's got a wierd leather handhold wrapped around it that's painted a reddish colour... It's got beads 'n feathers and everything any respectful hoopak should have!

History: Made? It was made by me! Yup, I carved it myself, I added the wrap, the spear, the dragon sinew sling (yes! dragon sinew!)... It took a while, but I did it! Anyways, when I was being held prisoner by the evil wizard, (have I told you that story? I ought to sometime...) I went through his laboratory on my way to fly on a dragon (that's another story also) when I dropped it, being so startled by what I saw! I saw a green and blue fire burning -on- a table! Not actually - burning- the table, just... burning there! Yah anyways, I picked up my hoopak and decided to stick it into the fire... I did, and, well, just as I had expected, it didn't burn up! It just passed through it! But then, my hoopak began to glow, so I passed it through the flame again and it (the hoopak, that is) began to glow even brighter! Well, needless to say it felt wonderful and I was simply wonderfully excited, but then I had to go get my dragon, so I decided to try to figure out what it did later...

How it Works: Erm... I don't really know... I know a few things it does, but not everything... One, if you say: "Oogy Boogy!" and hold it into the air, everybody will start to run away from you! But, they tend to do that to me a lot anyway... Oh! I got it! One thing that it does that's -really- magic is that, if you take an object, sprinkle cinnamon on it, shake it around, dump it in water, then touch it to the hoopak, it will turn into crystal! Yah, that's neat, huh? I've got a big collection of crystal objects in my pouches. Wanna see 'em? No? Maybe later... Anyways, it does some other stuff, mostly turning stuff into stuff 'n stuff... Just like the one I just described. It can turn stuff into fire, water, a mygnyl chort (-that- comes in handy) or it can turn things into wood... But only non-living things! That's all for now, but even still I'm figuring out what it does... Mara Ramja'!

Hoopak of Flame
donated by Tanaquil Furrfoot

Description:
Just a regular hoopak, except it is made of a strange, bright red material. It is not as indestructible as the normal ironwood, but still very tough.

History: Sirrion was in a sorta silly mood one day, and he decided to fool around with some random weapon. So he wound up with a hoopak, and changed some things around, and made it do cool stuff. Or, hot stuff, as the case may be. )

How it Works: Normally, it is a hoopak +3. It is plus +4 against dragons, and +5 against undead. When the wielder points it at an enemy and shouts the power word "Sirrion," the hoopak will shoot out a fireball. It can do this a maximum of six times a day. When the wielder plants it firmly in the ground and recites the activation phrase, it will explode into flames and roast everything within a 20-foot radius. The activation phrase is: "Flame of fire, with power dire, create a mighty funeral pyre!" Cool, huh? D

Hoopak of Flitchit
donated by Dracon Lockpicker

Description:
This hoopak is made completely out of mithrill. It has beautiful decorations all over it, and the sling has decorations sewn into it. It has a hole at the top where it forks, and two little lines near the point and middle.

History: This hoopak was made when Flitchit Lockpicker (A relitive of mine..) met a gnomish preist of Reorx whos life quest was to find practical solutions for everyday problems (Short Name: Solu). He took it upon himself to make the hoopak faster and more formidable weapon, seeing as it is already very practical (The sling/staff/spear/instrument combination).

How it Works: The hole at the fork is filled with stones, so if you tilt back the hoopak, a stone will automaticly pop into the sling. The stones on in inside may also be used as a shaker. Since it is made of a very magical metal, it is ultra light. The two small lines near the bottom are little twist off things that release a flute that may be used. Recently, a mage had cast an enchant spell, making the hoopak +3 to all weapons/instruments.

Hoopak of Intense Pacifism
donated by Gaffleknot Furrfoot

Description:
The Hoopak of Intense Pacifism is made of supple willow. The hoopak is decorated with blue and white feathers. It's quite pleasing to the eye, actually. It's end is a sharp point of brass.

History: The Hoopak of Intense Pacifism was made by a tribe of merchant Kender (wanderers actually...). They were pacifists (really??) and often settled unfair accusations of stealing with a gift of one of their prized Hoopaks of Intense Pacifism. (the recipients, to say the least, were not pleased...)

How it Works: The Hoopak of Intense Pacifism has one major rule inscribed into the very grain of its wood. It will not attack any living thing. This goes for any stones flung from the sling end, or any attack gestures made. In fact, it won't even defend the bearer of the Hoopak. The Hoopak of Intense Pacifism is lawful good intelligent weapon. It can see any attack coming towards the bearer, even a rogue's backstab. When this happens, the Hoopak will give very loud shouts of, "Attack, attack! Oh gods, you're being attacked!" and other such cries. The kender in possession gains +2 to his saving throws against physical attacks and +1 to magical attacks, but the Hoopak will not attack or defend. In the event the Hoopak does attack a living creature, the Hoopak of Intense Pacifism will promptly destroy itself, rendering it a useless twig.

Hoopak of Prodigious Snoring
donated by Ryluz Tendermore

Description:
What does it look like? This hoopak is made of an unknown blue material that seems like wood. And has many white stars decorating the shaft.

History: Who made it? How did you find it? It was crafted by a red robed wizard for a Kender friend, but he died before he received it. So the mage overcome with grief tossed it out the window of his high tower and it landed on Ryluz's head. Ever since that day, he thought it was a gift from the gods. But everyone else knows better...

How it Works: What does it do? How does it work? It is a Hoopak +3. When it is whirled around the head it casts a powerful sleep spell on those within a 30' radius. There is a 20% chance that this would effect the wielder. The spell effects 8d4 HD worth of creatures but it wont effect creatures with more than 7-HD, no save allowed. The curse is that the Kender will always believe that its from the gods, no matter how much you argue with him...

Hoopak of Rock Creation
donated by Jade Lockpicker

Description:
This appears to be a normal hoopak.

History: Has only been around for a short while, yet one Jade Lockpicker, a distant relative of Tasslehoff Burrfoot and Earwig Lockpicker, who is a red robed mage used it to ward of an entire force of foreign troops from the Inn of The Last Home.

How it Works: A few kender with a talent for magic, along with one talented mage, enchanted a normal hoopak so it never ran out of stones. Whenever it is tapped to the ground, a stone appears in the sling area of the hoopak.

Hoopak of the Dragons
donated by Dreamer Jingleheim

Description:
This weapon looks like an ordinary hoopak. However, the slingshot end is replaced by a dragon's head. The dragon's head is painted a greenish-bronze, with big white teeth, ivory horns, and flaming red eyes.

History: This actually belongs to my brother, Territhwistle Jingleheim. He says that he found it atop Reorx's Forge on a trip to the outer planes. He says it spoke to him and asked him to take it. It told him about its powers. It won't talk to me, though. I don't think it likes me much.

How it Works: This hoopak does several things.

1) If you put an ordinary sling stone into the dragon's mouth, then speak the command word (Ktzimando!), the stone is launched from the mouth, flaming, and explodes on impact! (Each stone is a FIRE SEED of the acorn type, rate of fire 5/2)

2) If you thump the dragon head on the ground three times anmd call, "Helphyonis!", the hoopak transforms itself into an Ancient red dragon! It functions as a dragon in every possible way, but it can only be active for 16 minutes at a time. If it is destroyed in staff form, the hoopak is totally destroyed.

Hoopak Of the sumer flame
donated by Stagnot Humplestump

Description:
It is a simple Hoopak with paint to look as black sky with small flaming bird on the top.
Near the top is a set of runes that is nearly impossible for
anyone to Make out what they mean.

History: It was created, persay, by pheonixflight glidewing. He stubled apon a wounded bird
he helped it live till it's wound healed. To repay this act of kindness, the bird Enscribed
a few magicl runes near the top to help him live. While adventuring,
Pheonixflight was attacked by a group of ogres. He used the as a missle
weapon and a huge fire ball shot out and killed the ogres. After Pheonixflight died the bird came back for the hoopak
and hid it in a place where it is nearly impossible to find.
In a legend about this occation it is said.. "the bird took the hoopak to a time when
the flames fell from the sky." Maybe meaning the bird took it back to
before the cataclysm and maybe even put it on, the now submerged, Istar.d

How it Works: This is a normal hoopak most of the time, but in a battle that seems impossible to
win, the hoopak becomes a fireball launcher. It shotos out 1d8fire balls per round
each doing 1d20 damage.

Hoopak of Transformation
donated by Jared

Description:
The Hoopak of Transfromation is an Ironwood hoopak with the Symbol of Reorx carved in its throwing stones and the symbols of Branchala carved upon its shaft. When used as a bullroar, it chimes an ancient song do Branchala.

History: Carved from the mountain of Thorbardin by the Tears of Reorx and enchanted by the mourning song of Branchala during the Chaos war, the Hoopak of Transformation was given to the kender Sprout Slipfinger by the avatar of the two gods. Branchala spoke "My child, hold this over the body of a fallen loved one, and sing the kender song of mourning, the fallen will be rewarded with another life..." Reorx then spoke "Alas, lad, hold a stone from the mountain Thorbardin in the hoopak, then swing it high and true, making the sound of a bullroar 7 times, then release the weapon, the tiny rock shall fall upon your enemies as a boulder.."

How it Works: If held above the body of a loved one at least one hour after death, and the holder sings the kender song of mourning, it has the effects of a Reincarnation spell. When held high with a throwing stone from Thorbardin and swong high seven times, it will release the small stone with the effects of the Turn Pebble to Boulder spell. The Hoopak contains 10d4 charges, the first requires 2 charges and the later 1. It can be recharged by the cooperation of 2 priests of eighth level or higher, one a priest of Branchala the other of Roerx, both must be kender. The hoopak can only be used by a kender and can only heal an ally of the kender, it can only hurt the enemy of a kender.

Kender Hoopak of Thought
donated by Richard

Description:
This is your standard hoopak, however, it can be taken apart into three parts and is extremely durable.

History: Years ago, a mage made a pact with a wandering kender, that if the kender left him be, he would give him something so wonderous, that every kender in the world would want one. Amazingly, the kender agreed. Leaving the wizard alone. Years later they crossed paths again, and the wizard said that the item was not ready yet, and told the kender that in two weeks he would recieve the item. Working furiously in those two weeks, the wizard gave the kender this hoopak. The kender thought the mage to be mad, but left anyway, bewildered and befuddled.

How it Works: The kender Hoopak of Thought adds 3 intelligence to any kender that uses it. Its other benefits dont come into use until the kender's natural abilities are used. When a kender starts to throw their taunts out, they are extremely well thought out, and sometimes will make the verbal oppoent bewildered at the meaning, which will give the kender the time needed to escape. Also, anytime anyone makes a joke or says something offensive to a kender, they will retort with wit.

Kender's Anguish
donated by Crizon - Kender of the Afflicted

Description:
'Kender's Anguish' is a platinum sword embued with powerful magicks. It is simple in design, with the hilt randomly streaked with silver. The crossguard is stubby and slender. The blade itself is a small wonder. From the base, jagged crystals protrude, from there, the crystals seem to straighten into a slender blade and turn platinum.

History: It is said that Kender's Anguish was made from a long forgotten kender mage. His magic was remarkably strong and wild. The Conclave frowned upon this, and agreed to strip away his lover, friend, himself -- his magic. But before the Conclave could, the kender blew up his laboratory, and himself, in a raging magic storm. Admist the ashes, his last act of magic -- the sword, lay unfound and forgotten.

How it Works: This sword can only be used by afflicted kender. And then, only in times of extreme anguish. When wielded, the kender berserks and becomes unstoppable until he is spent and is enveloped by the sword's frenzied storm. The kender's anguish is added to the weapon, making it stronger and more destructive. The sword then dissapears until another one finds need of it.

Kenya's Hoopak of Friendship
donated by Kenya Goodfellow

Description:
It is a normal looking hoopak except it has a gold tip with a heart-shaped ruby in it.

History: It was made for me by a wizard friend of mine named Arsanic. Of course I had to find all of the components he needed to make the hoopak for me.

How it Works: It is a hoopak of quikness +3. It also gives all of the kenders' friends within a 15' radius a +1 to attack againest all evil creatures. The hoopak can also speak common, kender, and gnome and it has an intelligence of 9. This hoopak can only be picked up by its owner, anyone else who tries to pick up the hoopak must make a save vs poison with a -2 penalty or suffer 3d8+3 points of damage and automatically drop the hoopak. If the kender throws the hoopak and misses it automatically flies back to the kender and returns to him in the same round.

Kitti's Dagger of Changing
donated by Kitti Wanderfast

Description:
The Dagger of Changing looks different every time a kender takes out of a pouch. It is basically a kender-sized double-bladed dagger with a holy symbol on the hilt. The exact appearence varys, but is always in line with the holy symbol (i.e., if the Dagger has a platnium dragon on it, it would be silver and platnium.)

History: Rumor has it that the Dagger was created by the gods themselves, but other rumors say that it is a by-product of the Dragon Orbs. The rumors may be just that, rumors, or they may be true. Who knows? The dagger was first found in Sancrist, suggesting a gnomish past.

How it Works: What does it do? How does it work? Basically, the Dagger of Changing does just that, change. It also protects the wielder from harm from a priest or any priestly spells of the current god. All the kender has to do is wield it. It doesn't work on non-kender.

Koplus' Hoopak
donated by Temrin Wanderer

Description:

It is a regular sized hoopak with a solid Mithril spearhead on one end and the leather of the sling on the other end is made from the hide of a slain owlbear. The top and bottom can be screwed off and revealing a hollow shaft that can be used as a blow gun. Embeded directly above the spearhead is a small red emerald that radiates a magic. Carved around the emerald are runes that say "Koplus' spirit. 'Tis what becomes of those who dare defy the great Archmage Malis." Up and down the rest of the hoopak are magicaal runes.

History:
The item was originally just a magic hoopak that had been enchanted by a white robed wizard that was a friend of a kender. It eventually reached the hands of the kender Koplus. Koplus was a kender that was fascinated with magic. He would travel anywhere to view new magical items and spells. His obsession with magic eventually led him to the tower of the foul archmage Malis. He stumbled in, just as Malis was casting a spell that would create a new race of draconians. This spell could only be cast on the night of the eye when the moons were exactly lined up. Koplus' interuption broke the wizards spell. Malis was furious. He set upon Koplus and cast a spell that was supposed to destroy Koplus' body and banish his soul to an eternity of boredom in the abyss however, in his fury he miscast the spell, and though the body was destroyed, the soul was instead imprisoned in the hoopak. The archmage left his tower after that night, and the hoopak remained there. Years later Temrin Wanderer stumbled upon the tower and
the tower and went inside. After a hard fight against many magical guards Malis had set, he made it to the top of the tower. There, he found Koplus' spirit sitting and brooding on a bench next to a dusty hoopak. Upon seeins Temrin, he brightened up and explained how his spirit was trapped in the hoopak (which in itself wasn't so bad) and how he couldn't go very far away from the hoopak. Temrin quickly took up the hoopak and vowed to find away to free Koplus' spirit. He journeyed for several days looking for a way to free Koplus' spirit, but that quest was soon forgotten as another one came up. Koplus, however, is still in the hoopak , but he doesn't complain since he gets to see new sights and go on adventures with Temrin.

How it Works:
Koplus' hoopak works as an enchanted hoopak, and Koplus' spirit can be brought out. The spirit of Koplus can come out whenever he wants at night, but once a week during the day, the hoopak can be held high and if Koplus' name is shouted outloud, Koplus will be able to come out that day for the rest of the day. Koplus' spirit can not go more than ten yards away from the hoopak, but can fight like any normal person however, if killed or knocked unconcious, the spirit is transfered back to the hoopak where it must stay for a ten day period.

Lumny's Magic Club of ReptileBane
donated by Tasslehoff Fargo

Description:
A Normal club with the name of some guy that i cant pronounce who lived on this iceworld where.......

History: This club came into my possesion as a family heirloom on my father's side. It was given to me by one of my late father's friends named Esthimill. He said that it was a weapon that belonged to this really powerful Shadowknight that they fought on an adventure to a iceworld. He was slain by Borok Oreem the famous wood elf warrior who was best friends with my father. He gave it to Lumny. As the party was overwhelmed by a lizardman horde, my father's last wish was that I have the club. When I was stricken by wanderlust, Esthimill came and gave me the club. It has servrd me faithfully ever since.

How it Works: Lumny's LizardBane gives all Kender and Kenderkin(such as half-kender, and kender reincarnated as other races) +4 (2nd edition) against Lizardmen and any lizard and reptile including dragons. It gives no bonuses to other races.

Magic Hoopak of Shapeshifting
donated by Brightangel Thistlesong

Description:
What does it look like? It is a regular hoopak, only it is not wood. Ordinary wood that is. It is made of wood from the Forest of Wayreth. It has a greenish-blue stone where the fork connects.

History: Who made it? How did you find it? A powerful mage made it in favor for a favor my Brother Stormchaser. Stormchaser gave it to me for my coming of age present.

How it Works: What does it do? How does it work? One touch of the cyrstal and you turn into the thing you are thinking of. If you are changed by an evil wizard or someother creepy ting and you can't figure out how to change back, then touch the crystal and you will change back. I mean while you are having fun, you have better things to do. The hoopak changes to a pendant when you think it to do that. It is very helpful.

Mudraiser
donated by Standback

Description:
Normally, it is a mud-encrusted sword, slightly bent out of shape. Should a gully dwarf happen to pick it up, it will emit a flash of light, and be transformed into a splendid, impressive sword of finest dwarven steel. If the gully dwarf puts it down again (or dies), it will revert back to its usual state.

History: Mudraiser was created by Quexizotl the Queer, a strange, hermitlike red-robed mage whose bizarre artifacts are infamous throughout Krynn.
It appears Quexizotl thought it would be amusing (or perhaps he had some actual reason - only Gilean knows for certain) to create a magical weapon usable only by gully dwarves - indeed, a weapon that turns a gully dwarf into a fearsome warrior. He set about crafting and enchanting a magical sword, which he dubbed "Mudraiser." He then cast a spell which hid Mudraiser in a completely random location somewhere on Ansalon, unknown even to Quexizotl himself.

How it Works: When wielded by a gully dwarf, Mudraiser acts as a magical short sword +3. The gully dwarf's strength is augmented so that he can actually carry the weapon (his Strength is raised to 16), although chances are he won't have the slightest idea how to use it. Every time the gully dwarf succesfully hits his foe, the foe will be magically covered with a thin layer of wet, sticky mud.
If a non-gully dwarf tries to use Mudraiser, it acts as a cursed short sword -2, save that the wielder may discard the weapon if so he choses. If a dwarf (other than a gully dwarf) tries to use Mudbringer, it will act as a cursed short sword -3, and the dwarf will be unable to get rid of it, and will be forced to use it in all melee battles until "remove curse" is cast upon him.
BTW, this can be a great item to place in a Dragonlance campaign - just think of your players' consternation if their dwarf spends months trying to get rid of the cursed thing, and just when he does a gully dwarf comes along and... SUPERBULP! A Mudraiser- bearing gully dwarf would make a great NPC (or even PC, possibly, if you've got a creative roleplayer). Or maybe your players need to stop the gully dwarf who's been wreaking havok with his newfound strength ("Noooo! The Aghar's back again!").

Multi-purpose Rod
donated by Simonius

Description:
Comes in two shapes (cane shaped and rod shaped) and 5 colors (yellow, brown, red, yellow, and invisible - possibly non existant)!!!

History: From the lost closet of the grandmother, the first multi- purpose rod was formed.

How it Works: It's a walking stick!-NO WAIT- it's a wooden sword!-NO WAIT- it's a lever!-NO WAIT- it's an extension for you arm... the list goes on!

Phil the Sword
donated by Solstice Bramblebug

Description:
Phil the Sword looks like an ordinary broadsword (big for a kender). Extremely sharp and silvery. Iron hilt (still pretty). Black leather hand grip. Large garnet pommel-stone. Very light and swingable. Runes of protection on the blade.

History: Phil the Sword was forged by a mountain dwarf and given to a human named Phil. Phil was unfortunately killed in battle. A kindly magic-user bound his soul to the sword and gave it to Phil's friend, myself (Solstice Bramblebug). Phil and I have been inseperable ever since.

How it Works: Phil is used like any other sword. You swing it or stab with it, and it kills things. He talks of his own free will and gives you advice whether you want it or not. In return, you keep him in good repair and talk to him. The runes of protection are activated by the presence of danger. Really, any simpleton could use Phil as long as they don't mind his incessant chatter.....

Photon Hoopak
donated by HapiGoNuki

Description:
This Hoopak looks like the normal, everyday Hoopak, but has a long ruby bar from one end of the hoopak to the other. The tip of the Hoopak is made of a drak red glass-like material and the sling part of the hoopak seems to be missing the strap.

History: Well, it's like this, a Kender found it, then lost it and was found by another Kender, who lost it and was found by another Kender, who lost it... Strange that every time a Kender finds it, he/she happens to find it in a pile of ashes and charred bone.

How it Works: It starts out as a +1 weapon in combat for a while. After two rounds, the ruby bar on the Hoopak starts to brighten. After two more, it starts to glow and the whole hoopak starts to glow red, with the spear point on the bottom glowing the brightest and the damage from the Hoopak is now considered energy damage. Every round after, the weapon increases in strength and brightness (+1 per round) until it reaches a full power (+5). When it reaches it's full power, all the brightness gather into a ball in the sling portion of the Hoopak, which can be slung as a normal stone. The projectile never misses and deals 3-18 energy damage in a 5' radius from the target. After the energy is unleashes, the Hoopak reverts to a +1 weapon and starts to "charge up" as normal. If this collected energy does not unleash in the round it collects at, it will in it's own way - it explodes where it's at, dealing 5-30 energy damage to all in a 20' radius. It seems that most Kender just don't know when to let a thing go (hence the ashes)...

Pipin whistlebower's annoying dancing flyswatter
donated by Pippin whistleblower

Description:
A Typical flyswatter with a target in the middle.

History: A mage got tired of flies interrupting his meal at dinner time.

How it Works: It functions similiar to a dancing sword except that it will dance around swatting insects until there are no more insects to swat in a 20 foot radius surrounding the wielder, or until it is captured. If used against a creature other than an insect, on a sucessfull hit, the creature will fly into a rage as if a taunt spell had been cast on the creature by the wielder. Each time the swatter hits the target a +1 penalty to it's save applies until the target fails its save and is enraged.

Poker's Hoopak of Destiny

It looks like black powder.

History: It was a gift from a powerfull wizard cook.

How it Works: Every time I hold it up to someones face they feel compelled to name it.

Pyro's hoopak of taunting
donated by Pyro Fleetfoot

Description:
A charred aspen hoopak with the copper point and leather sling in perfect condition.

History: I made it and how it was made is I started a fire for light and enchanted the hoopak to give good thoughts to the user of the hoopak. This was in the 4th Age, however, so after this I was very tired and went to sleep. During my sleep I accidentally pushed the hoopak into the fire, which screwed up the enchantment very badly.

How it Works: Now the enchantment gives taunts to the enemies of the user directly to the head of the user. It also keeps the hoopak looking like it did after I put out the fire and it will never break. This only works if you are a kender. If a non-kender uses this weapon, the first hit does half damage and the hoopak breaks and the enchantment is gone forever.

Rabbitslayer
donated by Tasslehoff Burrfoot

Description:
Rabbitslayer was a knife that Tasslehoff found in Xak Tsaroth.

History: It was so small that Caramon once joked that it would be usefull if Tas was ever attacked by a group of vicious rabbits. The dagger was actually blessed by clerics of the ancient days

How it Works: The dagger is a plus four dagger, on damage and to hit. It will always return to the person who owns it within 1d20 hours after it is lost or stolen. It can only go from one person to another if it is given away freely or the owner dies.

Reebus Padfoot's Hoopak
donated by Reebus Padfoot

Description:
It looks like a normal hoopak.

History: It's very special, it was given to me by my father who found it one day under an apple tree. Truely a gift from Reorx. Well then, any way, what was I saying? Oh yeah, the hoopak. It was really strong, made from the best wood on Krynn, (If it even was made on Krynn! I have a theroy that it was forged by Reorx himself, up in the clouds somewhere.) (Hey, wait, to tree's grow in clouds? If not, then where did Reorx get the wood? Maybe he came down to Krynn, took a tree, brought i to the clouds, then somehow made it grow very strong.) I'd better write that down.........oh well anyway, it was very strong. At age 18 I went on wanderlust. I first visited Solace, (But you know that from my story.) On the way there, (this wasn't in the story, so listen closely,) I ran into some goblins burning an old man's wagon, beating him, robbing him, and killing his wife. I ran to the rescue! I swang my hoopak over my head and it made a big noise. The noise is indiscribable, louder then any other hoopak. I then stopped, loaded a pebble and fired. I hit a goblin square on the nose. He keeledover and died! This was fun! I shot at the other goblins, but wasn't as lucky. They fled. After helping the man, I went after the little vermin. On the was, I met Tilvara Thrall, and Erondu. THey became my friends! THen we all went after the goblins. We came to a hill and look over. We saw a camp fire, 7 goblins, and an ogre. Tilvara and Erondu got scared and stayed back. I ran foward and attacked. I swung my hoopak again, and it made the noise. THe monsters suddenly looked at me. In a loud voice I said, "Beware you vermin, my hoopak is magic and can shoot fireballs that will destroy you all. Now, surender to me or be destoyed." Then they all ran at me. I shot a pebble at the ogre, and then he burst into flames. THen another pebble at a goblin. THey all burst into flames! MY HOOPAK REALLY WAS MAGIC! Then, to my dispare, I realized that, since it was dark out, I hadn't noticed Tilvara shoot flaming arrows at the monsters. I hadn't killed them, she had. :(

How it Works: Oh well! The hoopak still had great aim, and killed goblins in one shot. (It was 1d8 dmg. against small monsters.)

Sithak of Rainbow Hues
donated by Ryluz Tendermore

Description:

What does it look like?
It looks like an ordinary sithak but has a light red tinge color
in the wood. It also has feathers of numeruos colors tied to
each end.

History:
Who made it? How did you find it?
One day I stumbled upon a wizards tower, the one in Wayreth. The red robed man invited me inside. He asked for the ring I was wearing, which he kept saying it was his, but I disagreed, and in return he would enchant one of my weapons. So I gave him my sithak and he took me in one of his labs. He took a night blue boung book from the shelf and flipped through the pages. Finding what he liked, he called upon the spidery words of magic and a pool of rainbow colors appeared.( Which quickly got me excited, well anyways). He tossed my sithak in the pool and there was a flash of light. And all that remains was my sithak, well it looked like my sithak, only that the wood was red not brown, and it had feathers on it, which were real preaty. Anyways he gave it to me and said becareful it has special powers. Ignoring him I ran off out of the tower and that was that. Do you want to know my cool adventures I've been on...no...well, bye you all!

How it Works:
What does it do? How does it work?
The Sithak of Rainbow Hues is a +3 weapon. When the secret word is said (rainbow) an arrow of a random color appears on the bow. When shot the arrow leaves behind a stream of misty color, of the color of the arrow, which stays in the air for 1round. Also the arrow creates a loud high pitch whistle when shot having a 20% chance of attracting random creatures.

Splat's Stealth Hoopak
donated by Splat of Hylo

Description:
What does it look like? A normal hoopak.

History: ???

How it Works: It is a Hoopak +4. It strikes like a scimitar of speed. It acts like a sword of dancing. Neither the wielder or hoopak can be detected by any clerical, magic or psionic means. It is 100% resistant to detection, but confers no other magic resistance.

Staff of Stinging Laughter
donated by Seiryu Staffswinger

Description:
A straight staff made of dark oak, natuarly split at the ends, to form natures perfect hoopak. All sorts of neat pictures are carved into it, like laughing masks, and runes and such. The point on the botom is made of silver, and the sling from regular leather. It makes a funny whistling noise like this flying train this gnome once showed me....

History: As my Uncle Pouchmaker once told me, as his father told him, which he learned from a dwarf who traded the extremely rare and valuable information for the kenders gold watch, *Which the dwarf happened to have lost, and he was going to give it back anyway, so...* But legend has it that a kender, on his travels, helped a mage in need by supplying a rare item that the kender had lying about in a pouch. The Mage offered the Kender a service, and leaning on his old cracked hoopak, he decided he wanted a magick hoopak. The wizard followed the kenders design, Powerfull enough to stop an ogre! But i really don't want to hurt anyone, Id rather make them laugh! Maybe you could make it tell stories, But then what would i do? maybe i could ....*it goes on* Eventually the mage came up with the staff of stinging laughter.

How it Works: When an oppenent is striked by the staff, it causes a "Funny bone like" reaction, only very intense, causing the attacker to laugh in pain.

Staff of Timelessness
donated by Dilimli Ragingsquirrel

Description:
The staff ((nearly four feet tall)) is quite beautiful in essence. The length of it seems to be made of quite a hard wood, with beautiful runes that seem to be written to go along with the flow of the grain. At the bottom is a very small spike, no doubt used for sticking into the ground to hold itself up. At the top are two curved spikes of silver color, with a beautifully cut crystal between them. The crystal is 4-5 inches in diameter, and its number of facets seem to differ with each viewer. A silverish aura remains around the staff, but only those not looking for it can see the aura.

History: Raistlin Majere made this staff during his off-time in the Abyss. Despite what many on ansalon beleive, he was down there for inumerable years. He made this for Tasslehoff Burrfoot, who haunted his dreams often. Raistlin was quite fond of the old kender, and made the staff to preserve the poor little guy. The magic is quite powerful, and the staff itself can only be broken in the abyss.

How it Works: ---Treated as a +3 Quarterstaff--- 1st Effect: Any kender to hold this glorious staff is kept at his/her current age. They do not grow any older in appearance, and will not die of old age. Age takes no toll on their bodies. 2nd Effect: Any Kender to hold this staff learns to focus rather well, granting them the ability to become an arcane spellcasters without the difficulty most kender would have [Kender holding the staff do NOT suffer a -4 to concentration checks] 3rd Effect: To any non-kender holding the staff, the staff is treated as a cursed item. The wielder will age at ten times his/her normal speed. As well, the wielder will not think this aging uncommon ((thus will not throw out the staff to get rid of the curse))

Sting
donated by Topknot Graverobber

Description:
It's a little dagger thingie that glows blue sometimes. I don't altogether know why, and have been contemplating taking it to the Gnomes at Mount Nevermind for them to study, but it's probably more helpful here.

History: I have no idea who made it, but I was traveling to another plane, which happens to be one of my favorite pastimes, and is quite enjoyable, did I ever tell you about the time I went to Lord Soth's dwelling in the Mists? Where was I? Oh yeah, Sting. I got it from a little guy that looked sort of like a gnome, but with furry feet. He got mad and yelled "Bilbo! Help! Somebody is stealing Sting!" So I decided it was a good time to leave. I also found a cool ring that a ugly little fish type guy had, but that's another item...

How it Works: When it glowing blue, it pretty much kills istantly, I don't know why though, ask the Gnomes, they can take it to a committee.

Sword of Kenderkin
donated by jesterjoe20

Description:
It is a small shiny sword, appearing regular in the hands of anyone except a kender. Then it goes invisible to anyone but the kender.

History: Once there was a sword lying in a kender house and somehow it managed to switch hands with all of Kenderkind. From then on it was enchanted.

How it Works: This sword cannot harm living things, but it can cut through any substance. This is especially useful if there is a particularly interesting item behind a wall of sorts.

Sword of stormbringing
donated by Adrian

History: Ok, so I'm traveling with these friends of mine for a while now and we have all found (well, I found and gave to them mostly, but I digress) yet while my buds have found all sorts of magic weapons no one it seems makes magic hoopaks, can you imagine such a thing? What Rasha?...get on with it?... ok... so my bud Rasha... human high mage extrodinare.. really! this guy uses five wands at once. once I saw him... what Rasha?... ok! So Rasha has a elven weaponsmith make me one out of mythril and Rasha makes some really cool magic on it. And now I'm kickin' butt with the rest of them.

How it Works: the hoopak is a +3 attack and damage for the staff and sling, and acts as as a scimatar of speed. on a roll of 18, 19, or 20 the object struck shatters like glass hit with a hammer. cool huh? no saving throw, and if living fleash is struck then the bones shatter. You shold see what it does to skeletons (if it hasn't any bones then it splaters, like the geletonous cube I hit). My friend Elease duCarr thinks it's really cool 'cause she likes how I dive between the legs of things bigger than me and aim high.

Tarnic Quicksliver's +3 hoopak of shattering
donated by Tarnic Qicksilver

Description:
The hoopak of shattering is made of solid mythril with silver colored sling strings and pouch

History: Tarnic recieved his hoopak from his friend the archmage Rajah to give him an equal standing with his friends whom had each procured magic weapons of their own

How it Works: The hoopak of shattering is a +3 weapon for purposes of accuracy and damage however when the wilder rolls an 18,19, or 20 the target must save vs. crushing blow at -3 or be shattered like glass. Living targets tend to get shattered bones, if the target has no bones(gelotinous cubes, slimes, ect) then it is concitered to have splatered. Tarnic was fond of rolling between the legs of large opponents and aiming high.

Taryn's Amazing Hoopak of Movement and Power
donated by Taryn Pickenhands

Description:
A 2.5' staff made of hard yat supple wood, that is cupped and netted at one end and has a spear point at the other end. The Handle is sometimes hollowed out to hold useful objects, like silk rope or stones for ammunition.

History: I first made this hoopak when Jomar showed me a portal to another world. On that world there were some men in light armor running around in a field of grass with weird white lines on it. They were throwing a ball around using their Hoopaks and I wanted to go join them but Jomar stopped me saying that I was stupid. *sniffle* Can you believe that guy he says he's my friend... I don't think friends call friends stupid, he's just stupid! Any way, after I saw that I went into the Storeroom and found a lot of really neat things... oh, nut then three days later I remembered the really neat sticks and rebuilt my own Hoopak. But since the destruction of the tower, I haven't had any time to build more and we haven't gotten near any Kender towns so I carry the only one in the world.

How it Works: This Hoopak can be thrown as a spear (for normal damage), or handled like a LaCrosse stick for added velocity on all projectiles (+2 to Attack, Damage becomes 1d6+1). It can still be used as a normal Hoopak but it is not as accurate that way (-2 to Attack rolls, Normal 1d4 damage). As a tool the hoopak can be used to gather fruit from the lower tree branches, like an apple picker, or to scoop items up off the floor or out of holes or water. As a musical instrument, this hoopak can be swung in a cicle and it emits a low bullroar.

Tas' Hoopak
donated by Insaniac

Description:
Tas' Hoopak appears as a normal kender hoopak.

History: It was passed down between his father and grandfather, originally made by his ancestors.

How it Works: Tas' Hoopak counts as a +3 Hoopak. It adds many bonuses along with it's +3 bonus. It gives a +5 bonus to Pick Pocket, Hide, Move Silently, Open Locks, Sense Motive, Innuendo, and a +1 damage bonus to sneak attack (per die, so if you had 5d6, it would do 5d6+5).

Tasslehoff's Hoopak
donated by Jon

Description:
A average, well-made yew wood hoopak with the initials T.B. burned into the handle.

History: I kinda found it. you see, there were all these knights in shiny armor gaurding ol' Burfoot's tomb. One of them 'lost' a glove, so i kinda sorta sneaked in and helped myself.

How it Works: It is just an ordinary hoopak, but with a mammoth fur handle. It is masterwork though, so it does a lot more damage... It also makes a louder 'thruming' noise when you spin it!

Tasslehoffs *ahem* interesting talking hoopak
donated by Tasslehoff44

Description:
Just a regular cottonwood hoopak that has lots of little decorations like keys, feathers, hair from a monkey, and my personal favorite the red bloodshot eye carved into the middle of my hoopak. Heheh.

History: Well THAT is an interesting story, I was walking inside of the tower of high sorcery, the one in Palanthas. The Shokain Grove was a little bit hard to get through... Well, thats not important now. Where was I? Oh! And Dalamar, Nice guy as soon as you get past the flashing part... Anyways, he wasn't very pleased to see me and he threw a certain potion at me. Interesting potion, Very shiny. What? Oh, yeah the story. Well I blocked it with my hoopak and it melted a carving of an eye which turned a bright red.

How it Works: Its a Talking hoopak!!! Usually it yells battle cries when I'm sneaking up on things. I like to have insult wars with it. I get more and more from this hoopak. I'm gonna go in next week with fizbans hat... That'll be interesting...

Teethbrush of Vanquishing
donated by Iwayhara Daevarien

Description:
A dirty toothbrush colored blue.

History: Nobody knows the story of this ancient magic weapon, but the Gully Dwarf strongly believe it was created in the second Dragonwars for only gully dwarf use, by the three gods of magic, Solinari, Lunitari and Nuitari.

How it Works: There is little knowledge of this in the civilized world, yet if you ask from any gully dwarf, they'll faint or either run away in panic. This ancient weopon can actually clean their faces from several mud layers, and are usual artifacts of the rulers in Gully Dwarf society.

The Bat of Bat Batting
donated by Rian Nettlebranch

Description:
a round wooden club about 2' long, with engravings of two bats (one black and one white) on either side, near the hilt.

History: the bat was created by a magician who lived in an underground dungeon. The dungeon used a natural tunnel in the bedrock as a passageway to the ground level. As it turned out, many bats liked it there, too, though they cared much less for the human and other creatures passing through the tunnel, so the mage had to do something to make them get out of his way when he passed through the tunnel. When I got lost in there, I borrowed the mage's bat so I can get out of the tunnel where the bats lived - they really were a nuisance, you know, and really big, too. I got out of the tunnel, and there I was, faced with a problem - if I wanted to give the bat back to the mage, then I'd have to go back through the tunnel and then I'd have to go through the tunnel again to get outside, and I couldn't do that without the bat, which at that time would be back at the mage's laboratory... tough, isn't it? So I kept it until I find out how I can get it back into the underground dungeon. (I know what you're thinking: so how did she get there in the first place? Well, you have heard of spontaneous teleporting, haven't you? It's a bit like spontaneous combustion, but without the fire part, and you're ending up at a different place then you've been. When I teleported, I was just traveling with this red-robed mage. At the time it happened, he was very upset with something and was yelling, "in the name of all the true gods on Krynn, if that kender isn't out of my sight in three seconds...")

How it Works: the bat acts as a magical bat- repellent, causing all regular bats to stay at least 200' away from it at all time. Giant bats keep a distance of 100' from the bat. When encountering an undead vampire, the holder of the bat can use it to turn the vampire as if he/she were a cleric of the same level. When using the bat to fight a vampire (or any other kind of undead/magical bat-thing) it acts as a +4 magical weapon for hit and damage. Also, when a vampire successfully hits the holder of the bat, the bat's magic prevents the energy drain afflicted by the vampire (this applies only for the holder, not the other party-members). Against other creatures, the bat acts as a +1 magical weapon, and it can not turn other kinds of undead.

The Butterknife of Blood
donated by Jaswan Trickbringer

Description:
well it looks like a normal butterknife but it has a large blood spot on the blade. it also has a wierd symbol that i had never seen before. it looked like a crecent moon with a star next to it. the blade was white as snow.

History: i asked a wizard if he knew and he said that the three Gods of Magic combined there force into this butterknife and gave it to the first kender mage. they also placed a curse on it so that he would never be able to pick up misplaced items how horrible dont you agree.

How it Works: well i tried to cut meat with it but it didnt work well. then one day a giant ogre was casing me and he sneezed. well being a perfect gentleman i said "gazuntieght" then a giant red whit and black beem shot out of the butterknife. it killed the ogre just like that. so i guess saying "gazuntieght" activets its mystical power. you know i havent found any gold or watch or knife or pouch or anything since i had it. its driving me crazy.

the Chapak of colours
donated by Dailben Rockslinger

Description:
The Chapak or colours looks realy neat. It has swirling colours all over it, sort of like oil mixed with water but the colours are never the same twice! When you swing it,it will leave a trail of colours in the air.

It's the neatest theng I ever found I still dont know evrey thing it does but im woking on it! Hey Faren bring that back!!! Bye!!

The Chapak of Spirit Searching
donated by Kiven Thornfinder

Description:
The Chapak of Spirit Searching is a chapak with a pure white axe blade that twinkles when put near light. The handle is made of ironwood, with pictures of twirling leaves and branches carved into it. The sling appears normal but in fact can be drawn back twice as far as a normal chapak.

History: The Chapak of Spirit Searching was created by a joint effort between a Silvanesti member of the White Robes named Alothorianas and a half-elf cleric of Paladine named Walorin for a kender warrior named Palias Thistleknot (who just so happened to be the ancestor of Kronin Thistleknot). Walorin and Alothorianas (called Alan by humans) made the weapon to give to the kender who saved their life from human bounty hunters.

The chapak was crafted for the intent to protect the young kender from the horrible undead of the realms, which he reported having problems with on his many journeys. The chapak was blessed by Paladine and Solinari both, to guard the noble-spirited kender in the days to come. Exactly one year later the Cataclysm struck, and the chapak and its owner wandered to Kenderhome. Palias spent his last days there, but the chapak was long gone (in the pouches of another kender, to be sure!). It was one of the last weapons to be blessed by the gods before the Cataclysm.

How it Works: AD&D: The Chapak of Spirit Searching can only be held by good-aligned characters. When touched by neutral characters, it gives a slight shock (1d4 points of damage) but cannot kill the handler. When touched by an evil character, it sends a channeling of holy power into the person's body. This causes 2d8 points of damage. The Chapak is a +2 weapon in axe form. When used against undead, it can act as a silver weapon/blessed weapon and it can twinkle brightly on command, causing the opponent(s) of the wielder to save against spell or be disoriented and unable to do anything but wander around for 1d6 rounds. The chapak acts as a permanently active staff of detect undead. It buzzes loudly when undead are present within 30 feet of the user, no matter what. This cannot be dispelled. The Chapak's greatest power, however, is its turning undead power. It lets the user who can't turn undead turn as if 2 levels lower. If the user can turn undead, they turn as a cleric of 2 more levels. Against evil opponents, the axe retains all benefits but the turn undead power. Against neutral opponents, the axe retains only its enchantment. Against good opponents, the axe does no damage (except nonlethal damage, and even then, the person can never be killed or knocked out).

SAGA: The Chapak of Spirit Searching is currently a chapak of fame, due to its blessing by the departed gods. It acts as a +9 weapon (3 for the chapak, 6 for the enchant). It can also harm undead and Chaos's minions much more easily, doing twice as much damage as normal. The chapak also gives a loud strumming noise when within 30 feet of undead. This will increase in power when the undead are more powerful, and in the presence of Chaos's minions, it will make an extrememly loud buzzing noise that can distract undead from their tasks or combat-apply a -1 modifier to all tests. It is truly the undead slayer's weapon, which has caused many a powerful dracolich or other intelligent undead master to want to destroy it. It is legendary among kender lore (most of which comprises of undead beasties who are repulsed by kender warriors which then throw huge parties)

The Cursed Hoopak of Harkis
donated by Skip Furrfoot

Description:
The "Cursed" Hoopak is four feet in heighth, and is a slender hoopak made from a vallenwood tree. It appears to be perfectly normal, even a finely crafted hoopak really, and it has a strange sigil on the top of it. It looks like a sphere that's burnt black and it also has a red colored slash through the center of the sphere. It also has small gems embedded in the shaft of the hoopak, gems the color of the rainbow twinkle in the sun's light on it.

History: Created in the Shadow Years after the Cataclysm by an aging Black Robed Mage, the Cursed Hoopak was simply for one purpose, to use against Kender as possibly something that could lead to the deaths of many of that cheerful race. Not many know the true story of the Cursed Hoopak, but in truth it was created by a dark elf Black Robed Mage from Silvanost by the name of Drathis Vrue, or known as Harkis Arv Elenkul, "The One of Many Banishments". The Cursed Hoopak has seen many Kender in its existance and obviously has lead to the deaths of more than a good handful of them.

How it Works: The Cursed Hoopak seems to draw Kender to it, almost as though it were playing upon their racial curiousity. Once in the hands of a Kender it will almost immediately begin to attempt to lead the Kender to his/her death, usually by using a Kender's curiousity to its own advantage. Say if a Kender enters a Lich's Tomb with a party of adventurers, the Kender will almost certainly have to make a Save vs. Spells to avoid running into the fray. Currently the whereabouts of the Cursed Hoopak of Harkis are unknown, but then again this threat to kender-kind may just pop up at the wrong moment....

The Great Superball of Enemy Slaying
donated by Jason Grunlien

Description:
The Great Superball of Enemy Slaying looks like a glittery, neon purple, rubbery feeling ball. It is palm sized, making it easy to throw at someone.

History: The Great Superball of Enemy Slaying was created by Chislev one day when she got bored. She constructed the ball out of green wood, and the ground bones of a red dragon that tried to destroy a forest. One day she gave the Superball to a elf that nearly died fighting twenty goblins. but then she healed him and gave him the superball to help him protect the forests. The next day, he lost the Superball and a kender by the name of Dinglebob Treekicker found it.

How it Works: When thrown in combat, the Superball is a +3 weapon that bounces and keeps bouncing until all enemies are dead. The Superball strikes one enemy per turn, exploding into a ball of fire (that won't harm any vegetation) and causing 4d8 damage to whoever it hits. However, it only works for good or nuetral characters.

The Green Crystal Hoopak
donated by Jorin Thistleknott

Description:
The Green Crystal Hoopak normally appears as an unremarkable wooden hoopak, notable only for the large green feather tied to it by a length of string. However, when any of it's abilities are used (or a powerful spell of dispel magic is cast) this facade drops, and the hoopak is revealed to be made of unbreakable translucent green crystal. A faint light appears to come from within the crystal, but someone looking at it is unable to pinpoint the source. After about a minute, the crystal begins to fade back to it's original form.

History: Of the last visions of the prophet god Zivilyn, none were more frightening than those of the great red dragon Malystryx utterly destroying Kendermore. The last action of Zivilyn before fleeing into the beyond was to draw his cousin Habbukuk out of the battle with Chaos, and show him the vision of the devastation of Kendermore, and the appalling affliction that plagued the survivors. Shocked by this terrible reality, Habbakuk, much as Mishkal had done so many years before, smote a shard off of his great crystal throne, a shard in the shape of a hoopak. Even as the final howl of defeat raced across the Abyss, Habbakuk hurled the crystal Hoopak to Krynn. The artifact floated silently around Krynn for days, seeking a suitable place to land. Finally, it settled down on the Tomb of Heroes, on the carving of a hoopak above the name of the great Kender legend, Tasslehoff Burrfoot. There it remained for decades, undisturbed but for the air moving around it as thousands of people paid homage to the long dead heroes. However, one day...

How it Works: The hoopak has the ability to cure light wounds in anyone it touches, to make the user invisible, and to randomly teleport the user out of danger. However, as none of these is the focus of the artifact, each can be used only once a day. The main ability of this artifact is that, by methods yet unknown, it has the power to cure affliction in kender. An afflicted Kender touched by the Hoopak immediately falls into a deep sleep, from which they will awaken only after several days. During this time, there is a good chance (and this is important: only half the time it will work) that the underlying psyche of the Kender will re-assert itself and the kender will be afflicted no more. However, if it does not work, the experience will only stir painful memories, temporarily worsening the affliction. Worse yet, any kender only has a single chance, and if they are not cured, can never use this ability of the hoopak again.

The Hoopak of Chemosh
donated by Andrew Mercier

Description:
The hoopak of Chemosh is made out of bone and has writing (in magik of course) to activate it. it has a silver tip and a blue gem between the sling thing.

History: One day Chemosh got bored, so he decided to create a weapon that would summon him. he went on a mission to gather the ingriedients to make such a weapon (ie: toenail of summoning, hair clipping of the dead etc.)he pounded all these ingriedients into a fine dust and put it in a pouch. he went to Krynn (in mortal guise of course) and gave it to some chap named Brig, a human warrior, he told Brig that if you sprinkle the dust on your weapon, any time you use your weapon he would turn the person hit with the weapon into an undead creature reflecting your personality. well i (naturally) went up to Chemosh to ask him if a could have some dust. He said and offered many diffrent undead ways of living that seemed real nice. we ended up geting into a tug of war of the dust because Brig gave it to me and seemed to have forgotten. the pouch split open and the dust went all over my hoopak as a result of this i can turn people it to undead fuzzy things.

How it Works: Once you hit someone with the hoopak of Chemosh you can randomly turn people into undead fuzzy creatures (ie: bunnies, cats, Monkeys maybe?) it takes 10 meelee rounds to recharge

The Hoopak of Spring Dawning
donated by Raimen Pursesnatcher

Description:
It's a hoopak.

History: "This is a good story. OK, you see, my friends and I were
wandering around Myth Drannor, looking for some clues for
something that we were all looking for, when all of a
sudden, this big pile of money starts attacking us! OK,
they were actually evil spiders underneath the gold pieces,
but they were really small and it looked like money was
attacking us. Anyway, so we attack them, and Hercules, a
tiny fremlin mage, casts a big long range killing attack
spell. Except it makes everyone's stuff disappear! Well,
actually, everyone's but mine, since I was the farthest
away from the evil money spiders. So, Hercules decided to
cast a spell that would being everyone's stuff back, but
that didn't work either. But Lathander, the God of the
Morning that my friend Tarmazal is a holy paladin of, and
who also has a really nice temple on the eastern edge with
really nice clerics in it, must have decided to help us out
a bit. But the problem was, you see, that no one had any
armour or weapons left, except for me. Now you see,
Tarmazal was telling me a lot of stories about Lathander,
and how nice a god he is, and I started praying to him, so
I guess that he thought it would be a really neat idea if
he gave me a magic hoopak! But he didn't have any extra
hoopaks, so he made the one that I already had magical.
It looks exactly the same, but it's a whole lot better now.

"Since Lathander is the God of the Spring and of the Dawn,
and how the people back home celebrated a festival called
Spring Dawning, I thought that it would be a good name for
the hoopak." -- Raimen Pursesnatcher

How it Works: The Hoopak of Spring Dawning is a Hoopak + 2. When used
in melee against undead, the Hoopak of Spring Dawning, in
addition to dealing its normal damage, also turns the
undead as a cleric of the same level as the wielder.

If the undead is dispelled by the Hoopak of Spring Dawning,
they are surrounded by a rosy pink aura, which shrinks into
nothingness, taking the undead with it.

The Incredible Shrinking Hoopak
donated by Conrad Burrfoot

Description:
When it is in it's original state it looks like a Hoopak made out of tooth-picks. When the magic words are said it grows into a full sized Hoopak. When it is in it's shrunken state it is as hard as steel and impossible to break.

History: This was created by a wizard called Sajun Helrok who owned a favor to a kender who had given back a vial which his enemy had stolen. So the wizard gave to the kender, Dizzy Hat-trick, a Hoopak which can be hidden anywhere. The Hoopak has been passed through the hands of hundreds of kender. I myself had it last week.

How it Works: Like I said the abilities of the Hoopak are that it shrinks and grows. My warning is not to have it pointed at your face when it does this or you'll get a real BONK! That way actuall it can be used as a weapon,,, Well, anyways another use for it is as a lockpick. A trick I discovered is if placed in a lock and the magic words are recited it will blow the lock away. The full sized Hoopak is just like the average everyday Hoopak.

The Kender Dagger of Activation
donated by Thistleprick Bookbinder

Description:
What does it look like? It looks like a normal dagger that is stuck in its sheath, that is until it is brought near the Kender coin of teleportation

History: Who made it? How did you find it? We think elves made it. Once Again I didn't find it, but my friend Redflame Furfoot(Fred for short) accuired it from a drunken golbin guard.

How it Works: What does it do? How does it work? It activates the Kender Coin of Teleportation. It works by just touching it to the coin and thinking of you're destaination. Be warned the dagger must be held on to or it fly off to a distance of 2d4 yards(the coin is silvanesti and the dagger is qualinesti)

The Kender Flail of Pretty Colors
donated by TackInToe HurtsRealBad

Description:
It is a flail that has all the colors of the rainbow. It is as big as a short sword.

History: The evil mage Nivek Kenderkill neede a kender sacrifice in order to make the flail a perfect kender killing machine. I was imprisoned by many locks( because the mage needed all of his magical abilities in order to imbue the flail correctly ) and was able to pick them rather quickly. I ran away from the tower and didnt stop until i got to an inn. It was then when i realized, because I wasn't there anymore, the mage obiously need the flail so he gave it to me as a parting gift.

How it Works: It entrances creatures by the whirling of the flail. They look at the spinning colors and drop all defenses. The flail then smashes the opponents head in, making it very effective.

The Kender Sword of Fizban
donated by Ladybug Windowsmasher

Description:
The Kender Sword of Fizban is a three and a half foot long broadsword. It has a really cool silvery blade, a very sharp end (keep out of reach of children) a black leather grip, and the pommel is set with a big, clear stone.

History: I think that the sword was Paladine's first attempt at weaponmaking. It came out rather well, in fact. The sword was a gift from Fizban (Yes, it really WAS him!) when I became a knight.

How it Works: The Sword lights up when it's dark, and you don't even need to say, "Shirak"! It also lends the bearer strength, protects against some dark magics, and heals minor wounds. It only works if you're really nice to it. Also, there's only one and I think it likes me. It returns to the owner if lost, no matter how much said owner might wish otherwise.

The Relic of the 4th Age
donated by FuzzFoot WoodChip

Description:
The relic is basicly a silver dagger that reads "Through out the time of passing the age of mortals shall commence" on the handle.

History: The Relic was 'found' by Badger WoodChip before the summer of chaos. The Relic helped Badger defeat many monsters, however he lost it in the ruins of kendermore after the summer of chaos. Badger never figured out what this meant until the dragons of flame came close to destroying him. It is believed that the Relic will help us through the age of mortals.

How it Works: The Relic is neither good nor evil, and can forsee the imediat future on the handle. The Relic can cause 4d20 hitpoints of damage on any dragonoverlords.

The Spinning Sithak
donated by Dreamer Jingleheim

Description:
This thing looks just like a normal sithak--a bow with blades on the end.

History: This sithak has been in my family for minutes... I guess you could call it a hairloom or something like that. My father found it on his brother's back.

How it Works: When you hold the spinning sithak out in front of you and say "Budokanrana!", it starts spinning around and anyone who gets too close gets cut!!! (*game statistics: the sithak is placed right before the kender, and anyone who is standing in that position, or anyone who is immediately to the right or left of him, is attacked 4 times per round by the sithak, which attacks with its current owner's THAC0. A successful hit causes 1d4 damage against S-M targets, or 1d6 against large.) Kitt920

Uncle Fizzles Wonderous Hoopak of Fanning and ...
donated by Bramble Thisltesilk

Description:
Looks like a normal Hoopak except it is decorated with many brightly colored squirrel tails and is adorned on the top with wings that are slightly bent like the blades on a propeller.

History: Uncle Fizzles Wonderous Hoopak of Fanning and Furry Tailed Tree Rat Slaying was given to me by my Uncle Fizzle when his time of wonderlust was over. It was his pride and joy so on the first day of my desire to journey the lands of Krynn he left it out for me in his locked chest so that he knew I would find it. It was given to him by his Uncle Taz before he went on all his marvelous adventures with those other people.

How it Works: This wonderful Hoopak not only kills furry tailed tree rats (squirrels) but also all very small animals (It is a +1 hoopak that "slays" all animals it hits with less than 2 hps) Also if it is firmly planted in the ground and a special command word is spoken, it will spin producing a light breeze for any Kender that will sit underneath it.

Uncle Trapspringer's Hoopak
donated by Lord Chaos, formerly Chao Lord

Description:
Uncle Trapspringer's Hoopak looks like a hoopak with the name "Uncle Trapspringer" carved into white oak wood.

History: Uncle Trapspringer made this! Who do you think, ME?

How it Works: Uncle Trapspringer's Hoopak is a +5 Hoopak. When kender enemies look upon it, it generates fear as per the fear spell, as if cast by a twenty-second level wizard. It also grants a +5 Holy bonus to all kender skills.

Windsinger
donated by Thisledown Paddypaws

Description:
A Standed hoopak, made of dark, reddy coloured wood.

History: This hoopak is one of three made by the Acrobat/Druid Thisledown Paddypaws with the aid of her odd little Kitten, Ranna. The other two, Firesong and Earthhum are often traveling close to windsinger, but generally go unnoticed.

How it Works: It talks. All three of the set can talk, and do. They are great traveling companions, and though generally grumpy, they don't mind listening to kender Babble.
