Tanis is found in a clearing with Laurana. The two engaged in a private, whispering conversation. Gilthanas suspects something and approaches them.
Harsh words are spoken and Gilthanas pulls his sword. Laurana jumps in front of Tanis, but he pushes her aside and draws his own blade.
Both know this isn't a battle to the death, but they aren't thinking clearly at the moment and they begin to fight.
