Dragons are winged, reptile-like creatures of ancient lineage that are feared for their power and sheer size. Minotaurs are half-bull, half-man; monsters that are as ferocious as they are fearsome. When they breed, they create the most destructive force in the world: the Tauren-Dragons!

These creatures are vain and territorial just like their Dragon half. They have great hoards of wealth in underground caverns, mostly gems. They like to burrow and use other techniques that will surprise their foes. The Blue Tauren-Dragon can grow to be about 45 ft. tall and weigh upwards of 4,500 pounds. Their overall body shape is that of a Minotaur, with a few exceptions. Under their shaggy fur are blue dragon-scales that crackle slightly with static electricity. The BTD only has real shaggy fur on its feet, shoulders, and its stomach: the rest is fairly sparse. They sport great scaled wings from their upper back. Their head is much like that of Blue Dragons except that their great ears have merged with the Minotaur's horns. Lastly, they have a long, plated tail that ends in a shaggy ball of fur. The Blue Tauren-Dragons love the harsh deserts of the world. They have vast underground lairs, but prefer to spend their time in the hot sun, lounging around or flying around aimlessly. Combat
Blue Tauren-Dragons prefer to ambush their prey/foes. Usually this involves burrowing underground and popping up under the target. They will try to use evasive tactics and very rarely use their charge. Retreating is cowardly and the BTD will never do so, even when there is a good chance it will die.


Breath Weapon (Su): This breath weapon is a line of lightning. It allows a Reflex save for half damage (DC 10 + 1/2 breathing creature’s racial HD + breathing creature’s Con modifier; the exact DC is given in the creature’s descriptive text). A creature is immune to its own breath weapon unless otherwise noted. This line is 80 ft. long and deals 12d4 damage.
charge (Ex): In addition to the normal benifits and penalties of a normal charge, this allows the beast to make a single gore attack that deals 4d10+16 points of damage.
Create/Destroy Water (Ex): This ability functions just like the ability of Blue Dragons with the same name.
Frightful Presence (Ex): This ability works just as a Dragon's as per the MM, with 2 exceptions; 1) whenever the Tauren-Dragon is within 30 ft. regardless, and 2) ignores the Frightful Presence of Dragons and Tauren-Dragons.
roar (Ex):Works as a Dragonne's Roar, and is not affected by the Roar of Dragonnes or other Tauren-Dragons.
Damage Reduction (Su): A creature with this special quality ignores damage from most weapons and natural attacks. Wounds heal immediately, or the weapon bounces off harmlessly (in either case, the opponent knows the attack was ineffective). The creature takes normal damage from energy attacks (even nonmagical ones), spells, spell-like abilities, and supernatural abilities. A certain kind of weapon can sometimes damage the creature normally, as noted below.The entry indicates the amount of damage ignored (usually 5 to 15 points) and the type of weapon that negates the ability. Some monsters are vulnerable to piercing, bludgeoning, or slashing damage. Some monsters are vulnerable to certain materials, such as alchemical silver, adamantine, or cold-forged iron. Attacks from weapons that are not made of the correct material have their damage reduced, even if the weapon has an enhancement bonus.Some monsters are vulnerable to magic weapons. Any weapon with at least a +1 magical enhancement bonus on attack and damage rolls overcomes the damage reduction of these monsters. Such creatures’ natural weapons (but not their attacks with weapons) are treated as magic weapons for the purpose of overcoming damage reduction. A few very powerful monsters are vulnerable only to epic weapons; that is, magic weapons with at least a +6 enhancement bonus. Such creatures’ natural weapons are also treated as epic weapons for the purpose of overcoming damage reduction.Some monsters are vulnerable to chaotic-, evil-, good-, or lawful-aligned weapons. When a cleric casts align weapon, affected weapons might gain one or more of these properties, and certain magic weapons have these properties as well. A creature with an alignment subtype (chaotic, evil, good, or lawful) can overcome this type of damage reduction with its natural weapons and weapons it wields as if the weapons or natural weapons had an alignment (or alignments) that match the subtype(s) of the creature. When a damage reduction entry has a dash (–) after the slash, no weapon negates the damage reduction.A few creatures are harmed by more than one kind of weapon. A weapon of either type overcomes this damage reduction.A few other creatures require combinations of different types of attacks to overcome their damage reduction. A weapon must be both types to overcome this damage reduction. A weapon that is only one type is still subject to damage reduction.
Electricity immunity (Ex): Completely immune to all electricity.
Natural Cunning (Ex): Although Tauren-Dragons are not especially intelligent, they do possess innate cunning and logical ability. This makes them immune to Maze spells, prevents them from ever becoming lost, and enables them to track enemies. Further, they are never caught flat-footed.
Tremorsense (Ex): A creature with tremorsense is sensitive to vibrations in the ground and can automatically pinpoint the location of anything that is in contact with the ground. The ability’s range is 60 ft. for this creature.

A dragon possesses the followin traits (unless otherwise noted in the description of a particular kind).

  • Immunity to magic sleep effects and paralysis effects.

    Earth Subtype: This subtype usually is used for elementals and outsiders with a connection to the Elemental Plane of Earth. Earth creatures usually have burrow speeds, and most earth creatures can burrow through solid rock.

    Lawful Subtype: A subtype usually applied only to outsiders native to the lawful-aligned Outer Planes. Most creatures that have this subtype also have lawful alignments; however, if their alignments change, they still retain the subtype. Any effect that depends on alignment affects a creature with this subtype as if the creature has a lawful alignment, no matter what its alignment actually is. The creature also suffers effects according to its actual alignment. A creature with the lawful subtype overcomes damage reduction as if its natural weapons and any weapons it wields were lawful-aligned (see Damage Reduction, above).

    Society
    Blue Tauren-Dragons can be found in groups, but it is somewhat rare. They prefer to spend their time alone, but do not mind the company of others. Even so, the company is only welcome as long as tehy keep away from the BTD's treasure hoard and 'personal space'. They have a special liking to all who are of Minotaur or Dragon-blood, but this too stops at the boundry of their 'personal space'. Blue Tauren-Dragons speak Draconic and Giant.
