A medium size flying humanoid, the falco is often confused with celestials.

The falco is a carnivorous bird which likes to eat small mammals and reptiles, but will eat plants and insects if necessary. It can be found in most warm climates but ordinarily doesn't allow others to enter its nesting areas.

From far away, the falco looks much like a celestial, but up close it is obviously noy due to its much larger wingspan, brown feathers, and bird-like features. It is about six feet tall and is usually found with sword at side.

Falcos live in large family societies that are in some way or other hidden. They are suspicious of most other beings except for elves, who they find to be excellent trading partners and good friends. When other beings such as humans or dwaves proove themselves however, they are greeted just as kind and warmly as any elf.

Combat
Falcos generally only fight to protect themselves, but attack all evil ferociously and without mercy. They usually fight with short swords, although certain individuals fight with other weapons, such as spears or axes.

Twice a day, a falco can summon a creature as Summon Monster I and once a day as Summon Monster II. Falcos commonly trade antigues with others, giving them a +10 in appraise and bluff. They take time in their tree top cities to practice walking on the branches and climbing up the trunks, giving them +10 in balance and climb. They meditate every day, giving them a +10 in concentration. They also usually learn some kind of craft, giving them +4.

Society
Falcos are usually champions of good but are also isolationists, not liking much contact with the outside world. This means that while they will attack evil when they find it, they don't go looking for trouble.

This is not a kender type creature.
