Known as the cat Horse but more like a wyvern horse tiger cross. Intelligent, fast, silent and a pack hunter. You'd never think something so big could hid in trees until its too late.

A Leuupard resembles a horse in body type, sporting a long body, long legs that end in paws with retractable talons. It has a fine upward sloping neck that crests into the main head. It has razor shapr canines in a double row in the front of its mouth meant for ripping meat and snapping bone. The Leuupards head is like a horses with eyes on the sides of its face but has a large bone plate which covers from the nostril to the forehead, and curves off the head above the main torseau into two great arching horns that almost, depending upon the age, can span the length of the main body and touch the tail top. Its body is covered in fine body hair in a striped pattern that covers the back but not the belly. The tail is long sporting a tuft of hair at the very end. The leuupard comes in varied colors depending upon the climate they are found in. From white with grey which is common for the artic climates to Tan with brown for the forests. A solid color Leuupard is rare.

Leuupard are meat-eaters and will eat anything from small game to pack-attacking large creatures (once were witnessed to have even been seen attacking a young Roc!) When not hungry or fighting they are mostly found in large herds in cold climates. They are social animals and respect their family groups, very protective of young which they give birth to in clutches of 3 eggs per 2 seasons.

Leuupards can be trained to be mounts but as they are intelligent creatures you must prove you are worthy. Once proven however, a Leuupard will mentally bond to its rider and defend him/her to its death. Can mentally communicate to its rider through imagry. They are bounding/ leaping animals and are rather ungainly running in the open plains.

Combat
The Leuupards prefer stealth and suprise. They hide amazingly enough in large trees, or upon rock ledges to quietly await their prey then very quickly leaping out pouncing upon victim with its talons, grasping it within its fangs and leaping back into its cover. Their jaws and horns can pierce through armor and scales. They when fighting upon the ground charge and pierce their prey upon the two large horns on their head. They have also been known to bait their prey into a trap of the main herd.

Mounted Leuupards depend upon their riders for sight. Wild Leuupards must rely upon quick turns of the head as they have a blind spot directly in front of their face (the bone plate), they also rely upon mental communication from one Leuupard to another.

Society
The Leuupard creature has only reciently been discovered on the Isle of Nyte in the frozen tundra of the Unknown Waters. THe Creature seems to be specifically isolated to this island though it seems to have complete domination over the entire isle including the more temperate climates. Mankind has only started to populate the island and Leuupards seem to dwell in co-exhistance (so far). The humans have recognized its potential as a great replacement for the war-horse with far more plusses. The Leuupards have maintained their own clans but the bulk of their race remains wild. The creatures full intellect is currently under investigation.

This creature has been play tested.
This is not a kender type creature.
