The Wailing Woman is the spirit of a lover who's death came too early and the loss of her loved one through her death has kept her in the mortal realm so she could watch over her loved ones. It isn't until something precious to the memory of her loved one is stolen from her that she rises and wails for it's return and in so doing disturbs the rest of other nearby dead causing them to rise and do her bidding.

The Wailing Woman could be any woman of any race and any age; all dependent on when she died.

Because of her love she stayed behind and now she can only rest while the item that endeared her to her loved ones remains with her. If the item should be seperated or stolen from her then she rises from her eternal slumber vengful and twisted.

The Wailing Woman is usually wearing clothing of the time of her death, more recent if she recently passed away.

If approached she resembles a sad woman in mourning and can be heard talking to herself about her missing item. The only attempts to communicate with her that will draw her out is if someone inquires about the item in a kind endeavor. Any attempts to use force against her or force her to speak otherwise will result in an immediate attack.

Combat
The Wailing Woman is capable of using any skills or feats she had in her previous life, but will most often rely on her summon creatures ability rather then direct conflict.

If directly attacked she will fight with claws and bite as she floats over her would be attackers. Her attacks cause a cold sensation not unlike numbing cold in addition to the real damage. A successful atttack forces the victem to make a DC 14 save verse constitution Drain.

It's favorite tactice is to wail nightly while summoning undead and send her undead after those who assaulted her and stole her property.

Undead are immune to mind influencing effects and to poison, sleep, paralysis, stunning, disease, death effects, and necromatic effects. They are ignore mind influencing effects. They are not subject to critical hits, subdual damage, ability damage, ability drain, or energy drain. They are immune to anything that requires a Fortitude save (unless it also workd on objects). Undead Spellcasters use their Charisma for Concentration checks. They are not at risk from death from massive damage, but when they are reduced to 0 hit points they are destroyed. Most undead have darkvision with a range of 60 feet. Undead can not be raised.

Incorporal/ Damage Reduction(Su): 20/+1 or Blessed -A blessed weapon as per the spell Bless can effect normal damage against the creature in addition to a magical +1 or better enchanted weapon.

Fear(Su): As per the Fear spell with a Will save verse a DC of 12. The wailing woman can use this attack only once every encounter.

Constitution Drain: A successful melee attack against a character forces them to make a save verse 1d4 constitution loss (DC 14).

Vulnerability to Sunlight: If exposed to sunlight the wailing woman suffers 1d6 points of damage and vanishes only to return to her place of rest as if through a gate spell where she will not be able to leave for 3 nights.

Turn Resistance: The creature is treated as if it was a 5HD creature for purposes of trying to Turm, Rebuke, Command, or Bolster.

Summon Creature: With her wail the creature can summon 2-4 ghouls with a 10% chance of summoning an additional ghast. The wailing woman can wail once every encounter. If she wails at the hour of midnight and she stands in a place of the dead she can summon 2-4 ghasts and 7-12 ghouls.
