Ring of Expressed Thought

Description: The Ring of Expressed Thought is a
simple silver band, with what
appears to be a mouth gag
engraved around it.
History: Long ago, a hapless wizard's
apprentice was forced into the
company of a kender. Tiring of the
constant chatter, he decided to
create a magical ring that would
prevent the kender from ever
speaking. (Un)Fortunately, he
miscast the spells, and while the
ring did stop the kender from
talking, it made his every thought
audible. It turned out that a
kender's thought processes are
even more annoying than his vocal
babbling, and the apprentice was
almost driven mad. When he took
the Test in the Tower of High
Sorcery, instead of dark elves and
evil wizards, he was presented with
a group of kender. His death was
actually quite interesting.
How it Works: The Ring of Expressed Thought
prevents the wearer from
speaking, but makes his every
thought clearly heard, as if he were
speaking in a normal voice. |
