Hoopak of Transformation

Description: The Hoopak of Transfromation is an Ironwood hoopak with the
Symbol of Reorx carved in its throwing stones and the symbols
of Branchala carved upon its shaft. When used as a bullroar, it
chimes an ancient song do Branchala.
History: Carved from the mountain of Thorbardin by the Tears of Reorx
and enchanted by the mourning song of Branchala during the
Chaos war, the Hoopak of Transformation was given to the
kender Sprout Slipfinger by the avatar of the two gods.
Branchala spoke "My child, hold this over the body of a fallen
loved one, and sing the kender song of mourning, the fallen will
be rewarded with another life..." Reorx then spoke "Alas, lad,
hold a stone from the mountain Thorbardin in the hoopak,
then swing it high and true, making the sound of a bullroar 7
times, then release the weapon, the tiny rock shall fall upon
your enemies as a boulder.."
How it Works: If held above the body of a loved one at least one hour after
death, and the holder sings the kender song of mourning, it
has the effects of a Reincarnation spell. When held high with a
throwing stone from Thorbardin and swong high seven times, it
will release the small stone with the effects of the Turn Pebble
to Boulder spell. The Hoopak contains 10d4 charges, the first
requires 2 charges and the later 1. It can be recharged by the
cooperation of 2 priests of eighth level or higher, one a priest of
Branchala the other of Roerx, both must be kender. The
hoopak can only be used by a kender and can only heal an ally
of the kender, it can only hurt the enemy of a kender. |
