Paxina heard the stories. Kender wanderers had been gossiping about him for days. The black robed wizard claiming to be Raistlin Majere popping in and out of existence and his strange companion a kender with round ears and red hair had been spotted again. Evidently they were not causing any real harm, but they were preventing the kender from getting any work done, which is hard enough to do anyway. Being mayor of Kendermore Paxina knew quite well what it takes to get fields tended to and farms properly worked by kender. Stories of one of the most famous wizards of all time jumping around with an odd looking kender was tantamount to having him fireball every village along the Wendlewrithing River. Kender were combing the woods looking for him and paying no attention to their responsibilities. Paxina had to put a stop to this. She grabbed her hoopak and headed into the Kenderwood to find out for herself.
Willow had heard enough from the other daikinis to know that something must be done. Word had spread of a strange black robed magic user and his odd looking cohort that had been attacking daikini villages. It was only a matter of time until the Nelwyn village was next. Hoping to prevent this disasters Willow grabbed his wand and a handful of acorns before heading off into the forests surrounding the village.
Willow continued walking until he had found a part of the forest that was unfamiliar to him. That wasn’t odd, because he had never explored every corner of the forest, but what was odd was the figure that emerged form the bushes on the other end. She was small, like himself, but thin and had pointed ears. She gave him a devilish grin and his heart skipped a beat. This must be the strange imp that served the black robed magic user. Gathering his courage Willow said, “Go back and trouble us no more spawn of the black wizard. Or I shall be forced to throw acorns at you.” To prove his intent he tossed his first acorn that struck the imp between the eyes. “That one was not magical, but the next one shall be and then you will be sorry.”
Paxina rubbed her forehead. That acorn has really stung. What was wrong with this crazy kender? She was about to introduce herself, but on second thought she decided to introduce this kender to her hoopak. Once he was laying on the floor she would see just how arrogant he was.
