Armed and Dangerous by Hila Gerasy

I drew this one with ink on paper and then colored it with Photo Express 2.0. It's yet another kender, I can't seem to have enough of that race.

Kender by Hila Gerasy

This is a kender (it could be an elf, if you prefer), which is a much-loved subject for me. I drew it after a photographed model, and I think it's pretty good. The technique for the shadings of the gem I took from David Palladini's style in illustrating Stephan King's 'The Eyes of the Dragon'. It's a 'must' book for fantasy lovers, and if you're not the reading type, just leaf through it to see Palladini's B&W illustrations.

Rian Nettlebranch by Hila Gerasy

This is a character I currently play in my D&D group, a redhead kender named Rian Nettlebranch. Now a confession: The face, outlines of the head and shoulders and upper arms aren't my creation - I took them from 'The Art of Pocahontas' (they belong to Pocahontas's friend, Nakoma, drawn by Tony DeRosa), because it has such a cute 'kenderish' look. The rest, including the pointed ear and the necessary topknot, is all mine, and I think it came out pretty good. It's one of my favorites.

Mohogany by Andrew Carlson

Mahogany has striking green eyes, and a delicate, yet at the same time masculine face. His eyes hold the stubborness of youth, as well as the natural kender traits, but also an unnusual ammount of rebellious energy. His hair is the color of his namesake, a reddish brown that shines in the sun. His skin is moderately bronzed from days in the sun, and his body is muscular, evident even on such a small frame.
